The Lakefront™ offers direct access to the Lewisville Lake, which is ideal for water sports like paddleboarding and kayaking. The tranquil waters make it a great place for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. During the summer, rentals for kayaks and paddleboards are available nearby at DFW Surf, allowing you to spend some time exploring the lake up close. During the winter season, for those missing all the water activities that the lake provides, check out the Cove for exciting attractions that the whole family can enjoy such as water slides and indoor surfing.
Walking and Biking
The Lakefront Trail is a scenic walking and biking trail that connects Hydrous to McCord Park and runs along the lake. This trail offers a peaceful environment to take in the natural beauty of Lewisville Lake, with several access points for fishing. For those looking for a more rustic hiking experience, the Cottonwood Nature Trail guides hikers through one of the most pristine park areas. This trail is heavily canopied along the lake, which leads into an open field of cedar trees. There are two trailheads that hikers can access; the first is located just outside the entrance to Cottonwood Park, and the second is across the street from the Cottonwood Sports Complex, which has softball and baseball fields for league play.

Hiking trails are located in the park that join with the Lakefront Trail, giving hikers, walkers, and runners a connected series of paths to customize their workouts and activities.
