Lakefront at Little Elm is the perfect spot to spend a summer day. Whether you are in the mood to get outdoors and be active or hang out and chill, Lakefront has it all. Little Elm’s Lakefront district is home to many restaurants, outdoor trails, access to Lake Lewisville, a pristine beach and more! Below we’ve got three ways for you to make the most of your summer visit.
The Best Days Are at the Beach
We have the largest beachfront and one of the largest open swim areas in North Texas. The beach in Little Elm is soft, free, always open, and cleaned daily. We recommend grabbing some to-go margaritas from Margarita Hut on your way to the beach for some fruity drinks to sip on while you unwind with your toes in the sand. Take advantage of eFrogs — complimentary, electric shuttles — to travel from the beach to all the best restaurants in Lakefront at Little Elm so that you don’t have to worry about driving.
A Day of Adventure Awaits You
From the lake to the beach to the trails, there is plenty to do and explore in Lakefront at Little Elm. Little Elm Beach has 10 sand volleyball courts that overlook the lake. DFW Surf is located steps away from the beach and provides paddleboard and kayak rentals to enjoy out on Lake Lewisville. If you want to hit the trails, the district has several for hikers, cyclists, and runners, with scenic views of the lake and several access points for fishing. For a really exciting adventure, head over to Hydrous Wakeparks to experience the rapidly growing water sport of cable wakeboarding.
A Day at the Lake Restores the Soul
Make some memories out on Lake Lewisville with a rental from Cottonwood Creek Boat Rental. Whatever you want to do out on the lake, Cottonwood Creek has you covered. Rent a waverunner and speed off into the sunset, or rent a ski boat to go tubing or water skiing. If you have a large crew with you, rent a pontoon which fits up to 12 people. After a day of sun and fun at the lake, we recommend finishing it off with a relaxing dinner on the patio of Hula Hut Little Elm or Towers Tap House. Both of these patios offer beautiful views of Lake Lewisville — a perfect way to cap a summer day out on the lake!
